Fastest-growing 2020 holiday destinations listed by BA

The fastest growing 2020 holiday destinations for British Airways have been revealed as the Seychelles (pictured), Durban, Tel Aviv, Maldives, Dalaman, Palma and Marrakech.

New York remains the most popular spot, with Orlando, Las Vegas, Dubai and Barbados making up the top five most searched for holiday destinations.

The most booked long-haul holiday places for next year include Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Cancun, Dubai, Barbados, Antigua, Mauritius and Cape Town.

Tokyo has also seen a “significant boost” in 2020 bookings, as the city prepares to host the summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Tenerife, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Corfu, Faro and Kos are the top European sunspots together with Antalya in Turkey, a former key Thomas Cook destination.

All-inclusive is the most popular holiday of choice for British Airways customers.

BA Holidays managing director Claire Bentley said: “Classic city break New York remains the most popular holiday destination but we’ve found that all-inclusive holidays are now the break of choice for customers, and that bookings to more exotic locations, such as the Seychelles and Maldives, are quickly growing.”
