Wendy Wu Tours hails record year of sales from Ireland

Escorted tour specialist Wendy Wu Tours has reported that 2019 revenue for sales in Ireland rose by a third compared to 2018, making this a record year.

John Booty, Ireland and Isle of Man sales manager for Wendy Wu, said 2019 has been an “outstanding year”.

“Overall the escorted touring market is extremely buoyant in Ireland, now representing close to a quarter of all holiday sales – testament to the appeal of this burgeoning travel sector,” he said.

“With a greater selection of touring styles available, including our dedicated range of tours for solo travellers, plus our more adventurous ‘Go Beyond’ range, we are now able to cater to more customers than ever before.”

The operator has launched a new collection of escorted tours to China, Japan, central and southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka and Latin America.

It includes three new escorted tours in the Mekong Delta on the operator’s vessel, Victoria Mekong (pictured), offering 14, 17 and 22-day options.

Business class upgrades are available for a limited time from Dublin on selected tours to China and Japan from €299, and there are free Premium Economy upgrades on certain departures.

John Warr, global sales director for Wendy Wu, said: “When it comes to flight upgrades, Wendy Wu Tours are unique in the travel sector as no one else can offer the range and choice of upgrades that we offer.

“Both the Business class and Premium Economy options are a luxurious addition to your holiday, especially when flying long-haul halfway across the world.”
