European Waterways recruits sales and reservations manager

Hotel barge operator European Waterways has recruited Julie Garratt as its new sales and reservations manager.

Garratt, who spent 10 years at luxury property rental supplier Quality Villas, will be tasked with building agent relationships in the new role, which she began earlier this month.

She replaces Mark Robinson who has decided to relocate to his home in the north of England. He held the position of sales and reservations manager for five years and will continue to help European Waterways with future projects.

Garratt is based at the operator’s head office in Datchet, Berkshire, and is already working with European Waterways’ colleagues in France and Italy.

John Wood-Dow, European Waterways’ director, said: “Julie is a consummate travel professional with a wide range of experience gained in this luxury marketplace and we are confident that our sales team here will benefit from her strong working ethos and knowledge of the luxury travel landscape.
