Kuoni adds off-the-beaten-track trips in North America and Italy

Kuoni’s new brochures for North America and Italy have new hotels and tours which take customers off the beaten track.

There are 17 new suggested itineraries in the Discover USA & Canada brochure, including two in New England and one in Oregon – while in Canada there are more winter and family options.

Tom Waite, senior product executive, said: “We’ve paid particular attention to those experiences that make destinations unique to encourage our customers to explore further and experience the states as the locals do, whether that’s staying in Brooklyn rather than Midtown New York, or detouring onto secluded scenic byways.”

New experiences in Canada include winter activities, such as hiking in Banff National Park, skating on frozen canals and observing the Northern Lights from the Yukon.

In New York, Kuoni has added a boutique hotel in Brooklyn, William Vale, which is close to public transport, allowing guests to reach Lower Manhattan within minutes.

Meanwhile, the Italy brochure has six new hotels in Venice, Rome, Lake Garda and Puglia.

Angelo D’Avino, product and purchasing manager for Italy, said. “We have added more affordable options in the four-star range and focused on the trending Puglia, which is lesser visited with its deserted beaches, unspoilt villages and Greek and Roman ruins.”

New properties in Puglia are the Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso Spa and the Masseria Il Melograno hotel, a 400-year-old converted farm house in Monopoli.

A five-night holiday on a B&B and twin-share basis at Kalidria Hotel & Thalasso Spa will cost from £949, including flights from Gatwick and transfers.
