First Jet2 jobs event attracts 700 ex-Thomas Cook staff

More than 700 people attended the first recruitment roadshow for ex-Thomas Cookstaff organised by Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

The event at the Marriott hotel near Manchester airport on Friday aimed to give Thomas Cook employees an insight into careers available.

Vacancies include flight deck, cabin crew, engineering and ground operations positions.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays  recruitment general manager Kay McCormick said: “The turnout at Friday’s roadshow was phenomenal, and I would like to thank everyone who came to see us.

“We understand that it has been a distressing time for everyone who came, and we have worked flat out to put this roadshow on and showcase the various roles that we have available.

“We are already well underway with the recruitment process for a number of exciting positions, and are continuing to work hard so that we can recruit passionate and talented people to join our award-winning team.”

Three further roadshows Thomas Cook employees are planned this week at:

Peterborough – Wednesday (2pm–6pm) – Holiday Inn, Peterborough-West, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough, PE3 6SG

Birmingham airport – Thursday (10am–3pm) – Arden Hotel & Leisure Club, Coventry Road, Bickenhill, B92 0EH

Stansted airport – Friday (10am–3pm) – Novotel London Stansted airport, Round Coppice Road, Stansted Mountfitchet, CM24 1SF
