Thomas Cook’s Torey Kings-Hodkin resumes retail role

Thomas Cook’s Torey Kings-Hodkin will resume her role in the retail side of the business after two years in other positions within the company.

Kings-Hodkin becomes head of retail, south, from November 1.

Two years ago she moved from her then role as head of retail, west to become head of cruise and Disney partnerships for Thomas Cook.

Most recently, she has been on secondment within the business as head of commercial partnerships and sales planning, a role filled by the former head of Freedom Travel Group Kelly Cookes since her return from maternity leave last month.

The announcement of Kings-Hodkin’s return to retail follows a statement by Cook in July that she would stay with the business. At that stage, it had not yet been decided what role she would take.

It comes as Sam Stimpson, who took over Kings-Hodkin’s head of retail role in November 2017, leaves Cook to join STA Travel Group as group sales and distribution director.

Thomas Cook UK retail director Karthryn Darbandi said: “We all wish Sam Stimpson well in her new role with STA.”
