The Travel Corporation (TTC) has appointed Vicky Billing as head of UK trade sales for Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Costsaver and Luxury Gold.
Billing will join on November 18 from Royal Caribbean where she is Head of Retail North and will report directly in to Rachel Coffey, director of sales and business development for the UK and Ireland.
TTC said she is the latest addition to the growing regional and office-based UK sales team, which now stands at eight.
Billing will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategic UK sales growth plan for the four brands, nurturing “key existing trade partnerships and developing meaningful new ones”.
She will also take the lead on the training and development of the UK sales team.
Coffey said: “I’m really excited to be able to grow our UK sales team and to welcome Vicky to her new role, as the UK travel trade is critical to our business.
“I was really impressed with Vicky’s vision, strategic and business acumen and her talent for developing a team through structure, training and mentoring.
“I have no doubt she is going to drive growth for our core brands. She has a proven track record, excellent trade relationships, and a go-getting attitude and energy to match mine, so I’m sure she’ll bring an added element of dynamism to the team!”
Billing added: “Creating memories is the most important part of a person’s holiday and I love TTC’s commitment to genuinely connecting travellers to the people and places they visit.
“All the brands hold industry-leading Net Promoter Scores, demonstrating their excellent customer service delivery, which is ultimately what keeps you ahead of the pack.
“I am also really impressed by TTC’s approach to sustainability. With its TreadRight Foundation, it really does lead the way in this particular area and I am looking forward to getting out there and telling this story.
“I have had a fantastic seven years in the cruise industry but now it’s time for a new challenge in the world of guided travel.”
