Luxury river cruise line Uniworld has joined the Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation (Tipto), becoming the group’s 20th member.
Tipto updated its membership list at the end of August for the upcoming year.
Seven members left the organisation in 2018-19, while Uniworld and Jet2holidays joined in 2019-20.
Tipto turned 20 this year having launched in 1999 with 25 founding members.
Recently appointed Tipto chairman, Nick Hughes, said: “The team’s expertise in river cruising will certainly boost our already strong cruising specialism, adding an important dynamic to the agent learning we offer.”
Rachel Healey, Uniworld’s national sales manager, said: “Joining Tipto further cements our commitment to the wider UK trade and will afford us more opportunities to interact with them via Tipto’s unique networking events.

“As a small sales team, Tipto offers the perfect resource and will, without doubt, enable us to educate agents helping them to better sell a river cruise solution to their clients.
“We are looking forward to our first event and can’t wait to engage with Tipto agents.”
