Four new longer European sailings by Celebrity Cruises’ new ship Celebrity Apex have been scheduled for 2020.
The second ship in the brand’s Edge class will run three 10- and 11-night eastern Mediterranean sailings and a new 11-night western Med sailing.
Departures are from the port of Rome and Barcelona.
The new itineraries will follow the ship’s debut in Southampton and a mini season of five sailings to the Norwegian fjords and the northern coasts of Spain and Portugal.
A new ten-night capital cities cruise visits Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo and France for Paris.
The ship will then spend the rest of its summer season running seven- to 12-night itineraries in the Mediterranean.
The line is also deploying sister ship Celebrity Edge in Europe next summer alongside revamped Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Constellation.
The programme includes a mini-season of sailings from Lisbon, new calls into Trieste in Italy and returns to Istanbul and Kusadasi in Turkey, and Oslo.
A total of 48 overnight stays are planned in cities including Dublin and Reykjavik.
Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “Now, with these four new and longer Mediterranean sailings, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the peak European experience in true Celebrity style.”
