Virgin Voyages appeals for help to name onboard beer

Virgin Voyages is appealing to agents to help name its English Pale Ale which will be served on debut ship Scarlet Lady next year.

Agents and passengers can suggest names via Virgin Voyages’ Instagram post showing the can of beer.

The drink will have a hint of red in it and will be available throughout the vessel, including the onboard bar – Draught Haus.

The beer has been created using American and English brewing traditions by  Wynwood Brewing Company, Miami’s first craft production brewery.

Virgin Voyages plans agent tours of Scarlet Lady

Virgin Voyages’ beverage development senior manager Charles Steadman said: “Virgin Voyages always loves a challenge and so we asked ourselves ‘how can we create the most perfect beer to be enjoyed in the midday sun?’”

He added: “We have created the perfect pale ale that is both thirst quenching and refreshingly delicious, but of course, created with a Virgin twist, as we have given our pale beer a little kiss of scarlet red.”

Once built, Scarlet Lady will call at Dover and Liverpool  in spring before homeporting in Miami next year.
