APT adds Canada and Alaska winter-themed tours

APT’s Canada & Alaska 2020 brochure features three new escorted tours, including two winter-themed itineraries.

The 16-day Winter in the Rockies & Northern Lights Luxury Tour explores Western Canada from Vancouver to Yellowknife.

Highlights include a heli-flight for a snowshoe trip, a horse-drawn sleigh ride beside Lake Louise, and the chance to see the Northern Lights. It also offers a farewell dinner in a ‘ViTeepee’ and a visit to an ice hockey match.

Prices start from £7,245 on a twin-share basis including flights.

The 14-day Winter Wonderland Essential Tour includes Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Victoria.

Prices start from £4,295 on a twin-share basis including flights.

It can be extended to offer the chance to see the Northern Lights in Yellowknife.

Paul Melinis, APT’s UK and Europe managing director, said: “There is no better time to launch our new 2020 Canada & Alaska brochure as demand for them has really started to peak.

“Due to increased agent demand, we have designed two new winter-themed itineraries.”

The new 11-day Rockies Icons Luxury tour starts in Calgary, and includes Banff, the Athabasca glacier, Jasper and Vancouver.

It also includes two Signature Experiences: an exclusive breakfast at the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, and the chance to meet a Mountie and learn about the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Optional excursions include gondola rides on Sulphur Mountain, exploring Jasper National Park in a Harley Davidson sidecar and an astronomy tour at the Jasper Planetarium.

Prices start at £5,395 on a twin-share basis, including flights.
