Flexible Autos hit by cyberattack

Car hire specialist Flexible Autos has reassured its agent partners that all reservations are unaffected after it fell victim to a cyberattack.

The trade-only supplier said its technology was compromised on Sunday (July 7) by a “malicious attack” and that it closed its systems in response to protect agent and supplier partners.

In a media statement, the firm said: “These actions were taken to secure our systems and it has been necessary to carry out a comprehensive and thorough investigation which is currently ongoing and we hope to be operational shortly.

“All car hire reservations are unaffected and clients will be able to collect their vehicles with no issues.

“We apologise for all the inconvenience this has caused; however, our primary concern is our responsibility to our agents and suppliers. We thank you for your continued support and loyalty.”

Flexible Autos’ call centre staff are available on the phone to agents via 0800 254 5101.
