Loveholidays appoints head of supply to oversee in-house product contracting

Online travel agency loveholidays has appointed Bruno Trathaug as head of supply to oversee all buying within the business.

Most recently, Trathaug was chief operations officer at WebBeds Europe where he was responsible for contracting teams, overseeing direct contracts, DMC and third parties, supplier connectivity and mapping.

Trathaug said: “I’m really happy to join the fast-growing loveholidays family and look forward to working with them. It’s a dynamic and exciting company to be part of and I can’t wait to get started.”

He was also part of the startup team for Sunhotels and held various positions including contract and service manager for travel company Thomas Cook.

“We are delighted to welcome Bruno to our senior management team. He is a strong addition to the experienced team we have at loveholidays, where he will help us maintain and further grow our business,” Jonny Marsh, loveholidays co-founder and chief operations officer, said.

Loveholidays was founded in 2012 by Marsh, Alex Francis and Chris McCavert and has grown to serve 1.2 million passengers, making it the fifth largest travel agent in the UK. The travel agency specialises in providing short to medium length beach holidays for customers in locations including Crete, Majorca and the Costa de Sol.

The company had the fastest growing profit from 2015 to 2018 of any private UK company which resulted in being ranked number one in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 in 2019.
