Popstar Peter Andre is to perform for the hundreds of independent travel agents attending the 2019 Jet2holidays VIP conference.
This year’s event, called La Gran Reunion or The Big Reunion, is to take place at the AR Diamante Beach & Spa in Calpe on Spain’s Costa Blanca on November 25-28.
The fifth annual conference is expected to be its biggest yet, head of trade Alan Cross said at a launch event for agency partners in Manchester.
Nineties heartthrob and Mysterious Girl singer Andre, who helped airline Jet2.com celebrate its 15th birthday last year, will take part in an on-stage Q&A session and perform for delegates.
Entertainment at the conference will also include the return of the Jet2holidays’ Got Talent competition, where agent partners perform for the crowd at the Benidorm Palace – although the operator said this would be the last time the show took place at conference.
Conference sessions will focus on how Jet2holidays plans to strengthen its partnership approach to working with independent travel agents.
Chief executive Steve Heapy will update delegates on Jet2holidays’ future visions. Last year, he vowed to use the might of the UK’s second largest Atol holder to help rally the industry to stop the demise of the high street.
The conference will also include presentations, supplier showcases, a gala dinner, quiz, and an awards ceremony recognising the best-selling and most successful agents based on Jet2holidays sales over the past 12 months.
Delegates will be flown to Alicante airport on chartered flights from Birmingham and Newcastle airport on the company’s new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
