TTNG almost fills new agent training sessions

The Travel Network Group has almost filled its new training initiatives announced at the end of March.

The Training Services Academy was launched at the consortium’s conference in Budapest.

Three levels are offered to members – training for new recruits, refresher training for agents and senior management training.

New recruits will receive training on sales techniques, customer service and how to use the trade press effectively. They also have the option of going into an agency as part of the course.

The one-day refresher aims to “re-energise” established team members with training on products, systems, customer service, marketing and how they can influence sales.

Senior management training covers topics such as cash flow, management information, investment, HR, compliance and PR.

Chief operating officer Lisa Henning said: “We knew that our new training proposition would be popular with members, but we have been blown away by the speed in which they have been taken up.

“All places for the senior management training and new recruit training are now full and only a few places remain for the refresher training.

“The idea behind the Training Services Academy came from feedback from members, asking for support with training their staff, as they simply don’t have the time and, in some cases, the finances available to fund it.

“Over the coming weeks we will be training over 50 agents and we are already planning to roll-out a second wave of training days later in the year.”
