Danny Crowe has joined JG Travel Group as sales and marketing director.
He is responsible for marketing across four brands in the group – Just Go Holidays, Omega Breaks, Cruise Connections and Albion.
Crowe’s appointment comes as the company seeks to build further partnerships with agents, cruise lines and other related businesses.
JGTG specialises in travel for older people with carryings of more than 130,000 a year.
It has been backed for three years by Kings Park Capital, a private equity firm specialising in investments in the leisure sector.
Crowe is a former Thomas Cook head of marketing who has since worked in other sectors including retail and financial services with the likes of B&Q, Dixons and Lloyds Banking Group.
He said: “It’s great to be back in the travel industry again and I feel very excited about the potential that exists within JGTG.
“The company is passionate about being customer centric and we have some fantastic growth plans.
“To be able to operate across UK tours and events, European breaks, cruising and US Inbound is a marketers dream.”
Group chairman and CEO Luis Arteaga added: “We have built a great range of products to service the older travelling audience both in the UK and Europe, and we are now in a position to up-weight our marketing activity.
“Danny’s appointment gives us a broader multi-channel approach that is driven out of a customer focus.”
