Emirates ranked as top three business ‘superbrand’

Emirates has been ranked in the top three UK superbrands behind Apple and Microsoft.

British Airways takes fourth place, Virgin Atlantic 12th and Boeing in 16th position in the top 20.

The annual Business Superbrands listing is complied from 1,600 companies in the annual survey, which measures their “quality, reliability and distinction [from rivals]”.

The table is compiled by 2,500 business professionals with purchasing and managerial responsibility and 30 business-to-business marketing experts.

BA was also ranked fifth in the list of consumer superbrands with Lego in top position.

BA chairman and chief executive Alex Cruz said: “We’re thrilled to be featured as one the top five superbrands alongside some incredible global organisations.

“We’re investing more than £6.5 billion to ensure British Airways offers a world-class service – but we’re never complacent and we will continue to strive to ensure we meet and surpass our customer and colleagues’ expectations.”

The league tables are produced by the Centre for Brand Analysis.
