Tony Seaman joins tours specialist Not In The Guidebooks

Start-up tours and excursions operator Not In The Guidebooks has appointed industry veteran Tony Seaman as non-executive chairman.

Founded by entrepreneur and former travel industry director Carol Savage, Not In The Guidebooks offers tours, excursions and travel experiences in destinations such as South Africa, Costa Rica, Vietnam and Sydney.

The company said his role will be to help “generate growth and scale the business, in addition to providing advice and support as the company continues to expand”.

Seaman’s previous roles include chief operating officer at Attraction World; group marketing director for MacDonald Hotels; and managing director for UK & Ireland at Holiday Autos.

Not In The Guidebooks said his “wealth of travel industry experience” will also provide “guidance and support in growing the company and broadening opportunities, including selling through the travel trade”.

Savage, chief executive and founder, said: “We’re delighted that Tony has joined the team at Not In The Guidebooks, bringing significant travel industry knowledge to the business as we embark on our next stage of development.

“With an outstanding track record for helping to grow businesses, and expertise in marketing and operational planning, Tony will provide valuable support in growing the profile and business opportunities for Not In The Guidebooks.”

Not In The Guidebooks has launched new products this year in destinations including Botswana and Colombia.
