Tivoli Travel director named as latest Tipto agent ambassador

Tivoli Travel director Jo Richards has become the seventh agent ambassador for Tipto.

She will help to inform and shape the organisation’s strategic direction.

Other agents on the ambassador panel are Paul Knapper of Spires Travel; Jennifer Harding, a Hays Travel personal travel consultant; Beryl Towne of Altham’s Travel; Stef Trevett of Baileys Travel; Sara Allen of Dartmouth Travel and Su Dillon of Travel Counsellors.

Richards will have the opportunity to attend Tipto general meetings to play an integral role in helping to shape its future by influencing everything from the set up and delivery of road shows and training sessions, through to the incentives offered by members.

In addition to taking an active role in the Tipto set up, ambassadors are also given first refusal on invitations to special events.

Tipto chairman Jane Atkins said: “The collective input from our ambassador panel has been invaluable in shaping our strategies for this celebratory year.

“We are delighted to still be adding agents to the programme as we know their frontline insights greatly benefit our impact within industry.

“I’m in no doubt that with Jo’s vast experience and her success with Tivoli Travel, she will bring plenty to the table.”

Richards added: “As a regular attendee of Tipto events, I truly see the value in the information and industry insights every event offers.

“I’m honoured to have secured a place within the agent ambassador programme and I’m excited to be able to utilise my knowledge and share my experiences to help shape the association’s future.

“The varying roles I’ve held during my career – both in retail teaching and business travel – allow me to take a broad outlook on issues, a skill that I hope will be useful to Tipto’s continued success.”
