Los Angeles added to Big Bus Tours portfolio

Los Angeles has become the eighth US city covered by open-top sightseeing specialist Big Bus Tours.

Two itineraries – the ‘Hollywood Loop’ and ‘Beach Loop’ – cover more than 20 hop-on hop-off stops for tourists.

LA joins Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington DC following the additions of the Singapore and Dublin operations last year.

The company now has a presence in 22 cities worldwide.

The expansion came as the company opened an online partner support and booking platform for the trade, including LA.

Chief executive Alex Payne said: “LA is a destination that is made for open-top, sightseeing tours, attracting an abundance of travellers from around the world, with over 100 museums and attractions, celebrity neighbourhoods and iconic beaches.

“We believe there is a new and better way to bring all these wonders to life than is currently offered to tourists. Our expertise is in providing tourists the perfect introduction to world-famous cities, helping them to discover and explore, brought to life by live tour guides; something that has not been done before in LA.

“The launch of Big Bus Tours Los Angeles brings us another step closer to our vision of being the number one thing to do in every world-famous city.

“By adding new cities to our portfolio we constantly strive to keep Big Bus Tours as the market leader for customers booking tickets in real-time through our extensive global trade distribution network.

“Introducing our own purpose-built buses into the market, visitors can hop-on to discover and hop-off to explore this amazing city.”
