Coyle moves to HolidayTaxis.com

DoSomethingDifferent.com commercial director Ian Coyle is moving over to holidaytaxis.com as sales and marketing director.


Coyle, who will take up his new position at the beginning of January 2010, will be responsible for spearheading existing and new distribution for the UK and Ireland. He will work closely with holidaytaxis.com founder and chief executive officer Paul Stanyer.


Coyle is moving on after completing a two-year assignment to launch and successfully position the experience and attraction tickets provider.


Previously, Coyle was youtravel.com international sales and marketing director, and prior to that he worked his way up the Holidays Autos ranks to the become commercial director when the company was acquired by lastminute.com.


Commenting on his move, Coyle said: “I’m really looking forward to joining one of the most entrepreneurial businesses in the UK travel industry. I look forward to assisting and complementing one hell of a dynamic sales team as we continue to grow the business, working with partners wanting a quality product and service for their customers.”


Holidaytaxis.com chief executive officer Paul Stanyer added: “It’s no secret that we’ve been looking for a suitable person for quite some time and I’m delighted that Ian has chosen to join us.


“We have achieved a huge amount over the past seven years, and it’s right the business looks to bring in the necessary talent and calibre to ensure we are well placed to deliver our ambitious growth plans for the future.”


DoSomethingDifferent.com owner ATD group chief executive Oliver Brendon said: “Ian has been a great asset for us over the last couple of years and leaves us in an excellent position with some key trade contacts in place, a solid following from independent agents and an excellent sales and operations team.”
