EasyJet passengers encounter weekend delays at Manchester airport

EasyJet passengers were told to arrive at least three hours early for flights from Manchester airport over the weekend due to “issues” with baggage handling.

The airport advised passengers to take precautions due to the issues with the budget carrier’s handling agent, Menzies.

Details were shared on the Manchester airport social media feeds.

A Twitter post read: “easyJet is advising all passengers due to fly from Manchester Airport this weekend to arrive at least three hours before their flight, due to issues with its handling agent, Menzies.

“The airline is also advising some customers they may experience delays at check in for outbound flights, disembarking aircraft for inbound flights and baggage reclaim, due to these issues.

“We are monitoring the situation and providing support to easyJet.

“For more information please contact easyJet directly.”
