Mountain holiday specialist ceases trading

Manchester-based tour operator Mountain Paradise Ltd has ceased trading.

The CAA has stepped in to help holidaymakers who were booked to travel with the company, based in Altringham, Greater Manchester, which also traded under the names of Tatra Photography and Tatra Yoga.

The direct-sell operator specialised in trips to the Tatra mountains in Slovakia.

Future holidays will not go ahead but customers with flight-inclusive bookings are Atol protected and will be able to claim a refund for their trip.

No customers are believed to be currently overseas.

The business had an Atol licence to carry 500 passengers.

Andy Cohen, head of Atol at said: “We understand this will be concerning news for anyone who has booked to travel with the company. However, the Atol scheme exists for exactly this kind of situation and we are making immediate arrangements so all Atol-protected customers can claim full refunds as quickly as possible.”
