Jet2.com and Jet2Holidays were the big winners at this year’s Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards taking home four gongs including the Outstanding Achievement Award, which went to the airline and operator’s chief executive, Steve Heapy.

Jet2holidays won two awards: Best Trade Sales Team and Best Short-Haul Operator, while its airline business Jet.com won Best Short-Haul Airline.

Royal Caribbean International, Gold Medal and Holiday Extras each won two awards at the event on Thursday which was attended by 1,200 guests at the Great Ballroom at Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
