Riviera Travel has introduced a new range of escorted tours for 2019, called Walk & Discover.
Available in Italy, Austria, Slovenia, France and New Zealand, the holidays feature walks that vary from two to six miles.
Easy and moderate options are available, and walks will be led by qualified guides.
Will Sarson, head of specialist product at Riviera, said: “We have listened to customer feedback and introduced these tours to accommodate guests who want a more active holiday but don’t want to compromise on the cultural insight Riviera escorted tours are known for.
“Our walking itineraries allow guests to experience a different side to a destination on the featured walking excursions, learning from local insights and uncovering the road less travelled along the way. As the name suggests, guests will both walk and discover.”
The eight-day Austrian Lakes and Mountains walking tour (pictured) includes Lake Wolfgang and Salzburg, and starts at £1,099 – which includes return flights, transfers, four-star accommodation on a half-board basis, a programme of walks with guides and escorted excursions.
Other Walk and Discover tours include Florence and Tuscany in Italy; the Italian lakes and Switzerland; Provence in France; and a 25-day trip to New Zealand.
