Saga Holidays creates two new director roles

Saga Holidays has created two new director roles, which have been filled by internal promotions.

Elanor Sahadow becomes Saga Holidays’ director of commercial, responsible for the commercial and aviation functions along with commercial strategy for growth and retention for Saga Holidays, moving from her role as head of short-haul business.

Sahadow has worked for Saga since 2011, including roles as head of product and revenue management.

Rob Goodwin, previously head of destination services and river cruising, takes the second newly-created role: director of product and purchasing. He will be responsible for product development, Saga Holidays’ product and purchasing function and customer service differentiation in resort.

Goodwin has spent more than 20 years in the travel industry with roles including head of product and commercial for Monarch and head of product, commercial and purchasing at Cosmos Tours and Cruises.

Both newly-appointed directors will report to Saga Holidays’ managing director Maria Whiteman, following a structural review of its product and purchasing teams.

Whiteman said “In order to meet our ambitious plans for the coming year we needed to structure our travel product, purchasing and pricing teams for future growth. I have therefore created two key director roles, reporting to me, that will help lead this area of the business.

“I am delighted that we are able to fill these roles from within our business thanks to the talent we have within the existing travel teams.”
