Luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent has established a dedicated office in Japan – the company’s 15th office in Asia.
It said the expansion follows “huge demand” in the country and means the company now has 56 offices around the world.
Kerry Golds, Abercrombie & Kent UK managing director and global board member, said: “We have seen explosive growth in luxury small group travel and tailor-made private travel to Japan over the past two years.
“We felt it was important to have our own dedicated office in Tokyo to manage the complex logistics of travel throughout the country and guarantee the insider access and personalized service that consultants expect from Abercrombie & Kent.”
A&K holidays in Japan are led by local expert guides and experiences feature different aspects of traditional culture.
These include a private tea ceremony in a family garden in Kanazawa (pictured), a private dinner in a 400-year-old home in Kyoto, or a tour of Tsukiji with a sushi chef, followed by a hands-on cooking class.
