New Gatwick lounge opens

A sixth lounge has been opened at Gatwick by provider No1 Lounges.

The ‘My Lounge’ area in the South Terminal features an outside terrace area with views of the airport.

Budget carrier Norwegian has chosen No1 to provide lounge access for its premium long-haul passengers.

Access to the loft-inspired My Lounge costs £24 for adults and £12 for children.

No1 now operates three brands in both terminals – My Lounge aimed at premium economy and leisure passengers; core business brand No1 Lounges and luxury Clubrooms.

The new opening is the company’s 11th airport lounge in the UK, with other sites at Heathrow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.

The company expects to host 1.5 million passengers in its lounges this year.

Founder and CEO Phil Cameron said: “We are so excited to be opening My Lounge at Gatwick and to be able to offer its uniquely relaxed, social lounging in both terminals.

“We are also delighted to be partnering with Norwegian, who have chosen it as their premium lounge at Gatwick.

“Our existing lounges have proven to be extremely popular with business and leisure travellers alike, so this new opening ensures we can offer the greatest choice of experiences, from informal to first-class lounging, and meet the ever-increasing demand.”
