Virgin Voyages has revealed its debut cruises will go on sale on February 14 as it announced plans to build a cruise terminal at PortMiami and add a fourth ship to its planned fleet.
The first sailings will go on sale on February 5 for those holding pre-sale deposits.
Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson revealed plans for a fourth ship while confirming the Miami terminal plans.
He said: “With our new terminal and a long-term commitment to PortMiami, we also announced that our first ship, the Scarlet Lady, will continue to sail to the Caribbean from Miami throughout 2021.
“Our second ship will sail from Miami during the fall/winter cruise season of 2021-22.
“What’s more, I let slip that we are starting work on our fourth ship, as we seek to build Virgin Voyages into a fleet of the finest ships on the seven seas.”
The line, which will launch Scarlet Lady in 2020, is in discussions with Miami-Dade county mayor Carlos Gimenez and other local government officials about opening a new cruise terminal.
The new 100,000 square-foot Virgin Voyages Terminal will be located at the north-west side of the port.
The project will start next year and is due for completion by November 2021.
Scarlet Lady will be based in the Caribbean while a second ship will sail from Miami during winter season 2021-22.
Sir Richard added: “Miami is an incredible city and one of my favourite places to work and play.
“From our headquarters for Hotels, Voyages and now Trains USA, South Florida has quickly become another home for Virgin brands in the leisure travel sector.”
