Expedia powers new tour operating arm for Vueling Airlines

Expedia is to power a new tour operating arm for Spanish low cost carrier Vueling Airlines.

Vueling Holidays will initially be available in Spain, Italy and the UK.

Powered by Expedia’s white-labelled online template, consumers will have access to flight and hotel package deals, including Expedia Group’s global supply of more than 500,000 properties in 25,000 destinations worldwide.

Vueling Holidays, through its collaboration with B2B brand Expedia Partner Solutions, will look to expand their travel packages in the future to include activities and experiences.

Vueling is owned by British Airways parent company International Airlines Group.

Digital director Samuel Lacarta said: “One of our main objectives is to provide a great customer experience from booking right through to in-destination activities.

“By launching Vueling Holidays, collaborating with EPS, we’ve been able to make planning and booking a holiday more seamless and can now offer great package deals at competitive prices to help our customers get more for their money.”

EPS president Ariane Gorin added: “EPS unlocks the power of Expedia Group for our travel partners and Vueling Holidays is a great example of this being put into practice.

“By giving Vueling access to our wide range of travel supply, unparalleled support and cutting-edge technology, we enable them to build even better experiences for their travelers, in the way that works best for their business.

“With more than 20 years at the leading edge of travel technology, our global network of dedicated experts is well-placed to support Vueling in the launch and expansion of its new package holiday platform.

“We are proud to be helping to bring competitive packages and unforgettable travel experiences to the airline’s customers.”
