Ryanair introduces 11 new summer routes from Edinburgh airport

Ryanair is expanding its network from Edinburgh airport next summer with 11 new routes.

A ninth aircraft will be based by the no-frills carrier at the Scottish capital’s airport.

The growth will see the airline operate a total of 58 routes from Edinburgh handling about 3.5 million passengers.

Billund and Luxembourg are being added as year-round routes with summer services introduced to Berlin, Derry, Lisbon, Memmingen, Riga, Seville, Sofia, Stockholm and Tallinn.

Ryanair chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said: “We are pleased to launch our Edinburgh summer ‘19 schedule, with 11 new routes and 58 routes in total, which will deliver 3.5 million customers through Edinburgh airport next year.

“We will also base an additional aircraft at Edinburgh as we continue to grow traffic, routes, tourism and jobs.”
