Hugh Morgan has stepped down as non-executive chairman of Broadway Travel Group.
Chief executive Adam Pardini revealed the news to delegates at the group’s 10th annual conference being held in Dubrovnik.
Morgan, a former director at Cosmos Tours and chairman of Monarch Travel Group, was appointed as non-executive chairman at Broadway three years ago.
Pardini said: “Hugh has decided to step down which is a shame because it was a fantastic learning curve.”
He said Morgan had helped shaped the group’s strategy and chaired board meetings, which Pardini will now carry out.
Chief operating officer Jill Mitchell said the group had undergone a restructure following a number of departures at senior level in the last 12 months.
Sales and marketing chief Craig Ashford and marketing officer Tim Buckman left the business in July and March respectively, while Paul Riches, brought in to run Broadway’s bed bank business Beds With Ease, left in May.
Phil Turner was appointed group product director of Beds With Ease six months ago, while Tom Davies has been promoted from online marketing manager to head of marketing.
