Princess Cruises to expand ship visit programme after record-breaking year

Princess Cruises has pledged to expand its ship visit programme for the seventh year in succession after 700 agents boarded its vessels in 2018.

Thirty-two onboard events were held on five ships – Sapphire Princess, Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Pacific Princess and Sea Princess – across eight UK ports.

2018 marks the sixth consecutive year that the line has upped its annual agent ship visit allocation.

Around 80% of agents who took part in the 2018 programme had not been on a Princess ship previously.

Next year Princess will increase the number of featured ports to include Newcastle, Falmouth, Holyhead and Portland.

Rachel Poultney, Princess Cruises’ sales director for UK & Europe, said: “We’ll continue our localised approach next year and expand our programme even further, meaning hundreds of agents from all over the UK will similarly be able to join us on board.”

Details of Princess Cruises’ 2019 ship visit programme will be announced later this year.
