Pru Goudie has joined marketing and representation consultancy The Adventure Connection.
Goudie has been running her own business Pru Goudie Consultancy since leaving On The Go Tours in 2015, where she was general manager. She left On The Go after two stints at the adventure operator totalling 12 years.
In total she has more than 25 years’ experience in the adventure travel sector.
She was also previously a council member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators.
She has taken on the role of events and representation manager.
The Adventure Connection founder and managing director Mark Wright said her appointment was with a view to merging the two businesses fully in six months’ time.
The Adventure Connection works mainly with overseas destination management companies while Pru Goudie Consultancy’s clients are mainly in the UK. Both market to the UK travel trade.
He said: “Pru knows the industry from top to bottom and brings massive experience of dealing with adventure tour operators, overseas destination management companies, tourist boards, representation companies, senior journalists and a variety of trade partners.
“We are very excited about Pru joining us, and the collaboration of two successful companies; she’s already bonded with our team over recent years and this feels like a very natural fit.”
Goudie said: “It’s an exciting step forward for my company and it will benefit our clients greatly with being able to offer more services as a result of the collaboration between The Adventure Connection and the Pru Goudie Consultancy.”
