Travelbrands director announces retirement after 23 years

The product and marketing director of Touchdown | Travel Industry Services-parent Travelbrands Ltd is to retire from his position at the end of 2018 after 23 years.

Nasser Gerab (pictured far right) announced his retirement in a statement today (September 10), adding that Robbie White would assume some of the responsibilities contained with his role.

White was appointed head of cruise product of Touchdown | Travel Industry Services last month when it was announced the two operators had merged.

White’s job title will remain the same.

Managing director Nigel Smithson will continue in his role.

Gerab said he was “confident” that standards of service and co-operation would continue.

He said: “I have been fortunate enough to gain a lot of experience in the business of travel for travel people, become a part of an amazing industry, and work with fascinating people.”
