Trafalgar introduces Nepal, China and Japan tours

Trafalgar has added Nepal as one of five new itineraries in Asia in its most extensive programme for the region to date.

The 2019-20 Asia brochure shows capacity has also been added for the operator’s most popular trips and it has new departure dates for festivals in India and Japan. The brochure features 30 itineraries to 10 countries.

The new trips are: 10-day Classic Japan; 14-day Classic Japan with Matsue and Osaka; 15-day Best of China with Yangtze Cruise; four-day Nepal Adventure; and four-day Tokyo with Mount Fuji.

The Classic Japan tour includes Tokyo, Kamakura, Mount Fuji, Owakudani, Nara and Hiroshima, and offers experiences such as a taiko drumming lesson with a local specialist and a ‘Be My Guest’ lunch with a farming family who run a traditional tea plantation in Nara. Prices start from £3,995.

The two mini stays of four days can be booked as standalone trips or as pre or post-trip extensions.

The new festival departures are the 14-day Treasures of India during the Hindu festival Diwali, on October 21, 2019, and the nine-day Splendours of Japan trip during the Takayama Festival on April 11 and October 6, 2019.

The India trip includes a Be My Guest experience with a family at their home in Jaipur during the annual Diwali festival. Prices start from £3,725.

The Japan trip includes the chance to enjoy the festival, which celebrates the harvest in spring and autumn and includes a procession through Takayama.
