Rebrand for specialist adventure travel firm

Adventure travel specialist Henry Cookson Adventures is being rebranded alongside two high profile management appointments.

The new Cookson Adventures brand, corporate identity and website reflects the company’s expanding global offering and longer term growth ambitions.

New CEO Adam Sebba is to lead the company’s growth following a 20-year career including working as an investment director at Diageo’s venture capital arm, Distill Ventures, CEO of luxury fashion brand Antonio Berardi and strategy consultant at AlixPartners. Sebba started his career as an army officer.

Ricardo Gato is named as marketing director, moving from private jet booking platform Stratajet.

Former army officer Sebba said: “I see noticeable trends across the entire luxury sector towards ‘bespoke’ – and to consumers preferring to invest in ‘experiences’ rather than ‘assets’.

“I believe Cookson Adventures is perfectly placed to capitalise on these trends.

“I’m excited to have such talented individuals joining the business with me and we have some further exciting executive hires to announce in the coming months.”

Gato added: “We updated our visual identity to reflect our wider ambition and the uniqueness of the Cookson Adventure offering.

“We took a premium approach with a clean and uncluttered layout, which has given space to what matters – our innovative adventures. The rebranding will clearly encapsulate our corporate vision for the years to come.”

Founded in 2009 by adventurer and world record holder Henry Cookson, the company has built a reputation for creating luxury travel experiences for clientele looking to explore remote corners of the world.

The company facilitated the first private manned submersible dive in Antarctica.

Cookson said: “It’s been ten years since I started the company, with a vision to provide unique and elegant adventures to the curious and the daring. In an age when increasingly less of the world remains undiscovered, we’ve continued to pioneer the concept of luxury adventure travel.

“With a new team of executive hires, we intend to grow and continue to deliver luxury, unique and extraordinary journeys.”
