Four easyHotels are to be developed in Zurich and a further property in Basel.
The five hotels, representing 174 rooms, are being developed by the super-budget chain’s Swiss franchisee and are due to open over the next 14 months.
The company also confirmed that planning permission has been granted for a 120-room hotel in Cardiff.
Development work will now start on the site at Fitzalan Place 0.3 miles from Cardiff Queen Street Station. The hotel is due to open in the 2019-20 financial year.
The plans emerged ahead of the opening of easyHotel Belfast tomorrow, taking the total number of hotels in the group’s portfolio to 29.
The company’s development pipeline now includes 1,280 owned or leased rooms and a further 1,956 franchise rooms under development with the addition of the new hotels in Switzerland.
