EasyJet Holidays feels the Love Island effect

EasyJet Holidays is the latest operator to claim a surge in bookings to Majorca on the back of the popularity of reality show Love Island.

Bookings to the Balearic island setting for ITV2’s most viewed show ever soared by 20% compared with the period before it was aired.

The operator also reported an 18% jump in searches on its website the for Majorcan holidays.

General manager Mandy Round said: “After a long summer of Love Island fever we’ve seen a significant rise in bookings from those who want to get a slice of the love islander experience.

“Whilst we have lots of customers who are already loyal to this lively destination, the trends we can see show that a rise in travellers to Majorca can be attributed to the popularity of the show, from those wishing to follow in the footsteps of winners Dani, Jack and co.

“For those inspired by the charms of the island as seen on the show and looking for a break from their summer of arm chair viewing, easyJet holidays offers a large choice of Majorcan holidays – including a selection of swanky villas for those who wish to recreate a Love Island experience in their very own Casa Amor.”
