Dnata appoints new MD for Travel Republic

Dnata has appointed Frank Rejwan as managing director for Travel Republic who will lead sales, marketing, product, commercial and operations.

Rejwan joins the senior leadership B2C team in August and has previously worked at Abercrombie & Kent, Quintessentially and Ickenham Travel Group.

His appointment follows the departure of former Travel Republic managing director Ian Simmonds and senior dnata Travel bosses Andy Washington and Steve Barrass.

John Bevan, chief executive dnata Travel Europe B2B and B2C said: “I am thrilled to appoint Frank to this key role within dnata. His leadership experience will be invaluable in driving this business from strength to strength. As a company, we’ve been riding the wave of a strong period of growth and look forward to Frank taking the helm of this B2C business.”

Dnata is also looking to recruit a managing director for Travel Bag and Netflights brands.

They will lead the trading of the retail branches and contact centres for both brands, and design and implement the growth strategy.

Bevan said: “The opportunities for expansion and growth are significant for both B2B and B2C brands. Our brands across the board have seen strong performance to date this year and I’m excited to appoint the final member of my senior leadership team to allow us to drive these businesses forwards.”
