Cindy D’Aoust set to leave Clia

Clia president and chief executive is to step down at the end of the year to focus on family priorities.

Cindy D’Aoust will remain in her role until a successor is identified and will help oversee the transition of a new leader.

CLIA’s Global Executive Committee is developing a transition plan that will include a search for a new president and chief executive.

Clia’s global chair Arnold Donald said: “Clia has been fortunate to have Cindy at the helm for the last two years but we respect her decision to focus on her family and wish her all the best.”

Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates is to lead the search her successor.

D’Aoust joined the international cruise body in December 2014 as executive president before her promotion.

In March 2016, D’Aoust was appointed permanent chief executive and president a year on from the exit of Christine Duffy.

Duffy became president of Carnival Cruise Line after leaving Clia.
