Special Report: Bravo for the very best of British

This year’s Travel Brit Awards celebrated the finest sellers of domestic holidays

The great and good of the domestic travel trade were honoured at this year’s Travel Brits in an event hosted by family caravan specialist Haven.

Winners were honoured across nine categories including for their outstanding contribution, best use of Abta branding and being individual ambassadors for domestic travel.

There were also awards given out by sponsor operators, with agencies recognised for their support to Bourne Leisure brands Haven, Butlin’s and Warner Leisure Hotels, Hoseasons, Newmarket Holidays, Shearings, Superbreak, Airways Holidays, Condor Ferries and VisitGuernsey.

Louise Tansey, national sales manager at Haven parent Bourne Leisure, said: “Thank you to everyone that made the Travel Brits Awards 2018 such a memorable night – to all of the suppliers for their hard work setting up and their continued support of the event; to each and every agent that took part in our activities and danced the night away; and of course to all of our winners, huge congratulations.

“This event is an important one for the domestic travel market and recognises the hard work and continued dedication of the UK trade selling UK breaks. The Travel Brits Awards grow in strength every year and we are delighted to be able to host increasing numbers of so many supportive agents. This year Haven took centre stage as our host location, offering a new take on activities, atmosphere and backdrop. Our theatre style entertainment went down a storm and our seaside theme truly caught the essence of the domestic holiday market.

We hope that you all took away something that will help you continue to sell domestic breaks and we very much look forward to seeing you again next year for the Travel Brit Awards 2019.”
