Palladium appoints Jet2holidays sales executive as business development manager

Chris Redfern has been appointed by travel representation and PR firm Lotus to help raise awareness of Palladium Hotel Group among UK travel agents.

The ex-Jet2holidays sales executive becomes business development manager for the Spanish hotel group, which has more than 50 hotels across five brands in six countries.

Redfern joins Joanne Peters as the second dedicated sales representative for Palladium Hotel Group in the UK, bringing the number of UK representatives up to five when including the UK PR and marketing team at Lotus. He will be based in Cheshire.

He has more than 13 years’ experience in the travel industry working as a sales executive for Jet2holidays. His appointment comes after the launch of Palladium Hotel Group’s luxury hotel brand ‘TRS’ in December 2017 and ahead of its new opening in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula this autumn.

Palladium has hotels in Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Sicily (Italy) and Brazil and operates five brands: Palladium Hotels & Resorts – which is divided into four sub-brands: TRS, Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts, Palladium Hotels and Palladium Boutique Hotels; Fiesta Hotels & Resorts; Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels; Ayre Hoteles; Only You Hotels. It also has a licensed brand: Hard Rock Hotels.

It also plans to launch a new hotel brand, ‘BLESS Collection Hotels, which will be targeted at the luxury market with its first property scheduled to open in Madrid in autumn 2018.

Nacho Gozalbo, Palladium Hotel Group commercial director for UK, France and Scandinavia, said: “The UK is a key market for Palladium Hotel Group and with a number of new developments in the pipeline, we felt it was necessary to bring on another dedicated sales representative. Chris also has a good knowledge of the brand through his previous role and brings his own strong agency network which is very important for our development.”
