Craig Musson has landed the “pivotal role” of UK sales manager for newly rebranded flybmi as the airline continues its plans to expand and grow its routes and passenger numbers.
He brings 28 years of aviation experience to the carrier, having most recently held corporate regional sales management positions with Qatar Airways and American Airlines.
Musson will be responsible for developing corporate business at flybmi’s biggest hub in Bristol where the airline flies to cities in Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, UK and Belgium.
Chief commercial officer Jochen Schnadt said: “As we continue to drive flybmi forward to unlock growth opportunities across the UK and Europe, our focus remains to provide a professional and reliable service.
“Our strategy will be to continue to service niche markets not currently offered by other airlines.
“Craig will play a pivotal role in this continued development as his expertise in business development and customer retention makes him an ideal candidate for this role at a time when the airline is continuing to develop our product offering in line with the demands of a modern traveller.”
Muss on added: “I’m excited to join flybmi at a time when the airline is undergoing significant changes in creating a brand that appeals to both the business and leisure markets.
“While my core role will be to develop the corporate arm of the business, I believe my background in working with various global airlines will allow me to be nimble and flexible in my negotiations.”
Flybmi operates a 19-strong all jet fleet serving a network of 43 destinations across the UK and Europe.
