Back-Roads Touring to run training sessions for homeworkers

Homeworker training sessions are to be run by small group touring specialists Back-Roads Touring.

Eight one-hour training sessions are planned throughout the summer, providing homeworkers with an opportunity to learn more about the operator’s tours in the UK, Europe and Asia.

The training will take place in some of the hotels Back-Roads uses in the UK.

UK and Ireland business development manager Lockie Kerr said: “There are thousands of homeworking travel agents in the UK. Without a retail store though, it’s very difficult to speak directly with them and understand what they need from us to help sell our small group tours.

“I’ve seen other homeworker training events in cafés, but we wanted to be different and give homeworking agents the opportunity for a first-hand experience of our boutique style of
accommodation.

“Tea, coffee or juice will be provided along with cakes and pastries, with exclusive incentives also in place for those attending.

“All going well, we’d love to hold similar training events in future, in more unique Back-Roads Touring locations.”
