Audrey Brooks-Wiggins to leave Funway Holidays

Funway Holidays head of sales Audrey Brooks-Wiggins is to leave the operator next month.

Brooks-Wiggins joined Funway in August 2017, having left Thomas Cook, where she was head of trade partnerships in June that year.

She will remain in her role at Funway until mid-July.

Funway Holidays’ marketing director Nick Talbot said: “We are sad to see Audrey go, she will be missed.

“We have a really strong team with a great strategy and this is an exciting time for Funway.”

Speaking to Travel Weekly last October, she said she wanted to raise the operator’s profile among travel agents, through fam trips and training events.

Her role included looking after Funway’s Club 500 for agents who deliver sales of between £250,000-£500,000 per year.

Brooks-Wiggins joined Thomas Cook in 2014 as senior account manager and went on to be head of the commercial and merchandising sales team before being made head of trade partnerships in January 2016, overseeing the company’s relationships with independent agents.

Prior to that she worked for XL Leisure Group, Hays Travel, and First Choice.

Talbot added: “We are looking forward to the future with our new Air Canada Vacations by Funway portfolio, a recently expanded Mexico & Caribbean programme and many more developments on the horizon.”
