Voyages to Antiquity to host 100 agents on educational ship visits

Agents have four chances to participate in educational ship visits organised by Voyages to Antiquity this summer.

Tours of the cultural cruise line’s vessel Aegean Odyssey will be held this month and in August.

Visits will take place in Falmouth on June 20, Tilbury on June 23 and August 5 and Hull on August 3.

Up to 25 places on each tour are available on a first-come first-served basis.

The visits include a tour of Aegean Odyssey, the opportunity to talk to crew, a short presentation about Voyages to Antiquity, refreshments and the latest news about its plans for the trade.

Head of commercial Michelle Daniels said: “The trade has proved incredibly important to Voyages to Antiquity as the business has grown and we are very keen for this valuable relationship to continue.

“We offer a very specialised holiday for customers so it is important that our agent partners really understand the product and can speak about it with authority.

“I am really looking forward to welcoming cruise specialist on board and helping them get under the skin of Voyages to Antiquity and learn all about our fascinating ports of call and expert speaker programme.”

The ship visits follow the line publishing its 2019 European programme, which includes its first 14-day Baltics cruise in July next year.

Daniels added: “Our current 2018 summer season is on target to be our most successful yet, and much of that is down to our travel trade and specialist partners who have generated in excess of 60% of our business.

“We are continually evolving the product so agents have a reason to keep talking about us to clients – repeat business is very high so we offer excellent earning potential.”
