Not Just Travel hails record sales as it targets 1,000 franchisees by 2020

The franchise recruitment arm of travel agency Not Just Travel plans to reach 1,000 franchisees by 2020 – but is raising fees.

The target was disclosed as The Travel Franchise claimed record sales for May with 18 new franchisees signed up in the last 18 days, bringing the total up to more than 600.

However, the company will be increasing the price of its franchise packages by an unspecified amount from June 1.

The fee increases will be used to fund further investment in the packages and support the brand offers, according to the company.

Co-founder, Paul Harrison, said: “We will also be changing the criteria for our ‘money back challenge’, which offers every new franchisee the chance to earn their franchise fee back within their first year if they reach achieve achievable sales targets.

“So many of our franchisees are hitting the challenge that we wanted to make it more challenging for them and help them to really focus on driving sales for their new businesses.

“The great news is that anyone who joins before June 1 will avoid the price increase and new money back challenge criteria.”

His joint co-founder Steve Witt said: “We’ve had an amazing start to the year but we’re not resting on our laurels.

“We want to offer even more people the opportunity to join our successful travel business and we’re looking to recruit 400 new franchisees over the next two years.

“Experience of the travel industry is not necessary as we provide all the training and support required to get your business up and running.”

Harrison added: “May has been an amazing month and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome so many new franchisees to The Travel Franchise.

“The growth we are experiencing in May builds on what has already been a strong start to 2018 and we are seeing increasing interest from across the UK from prospective new franchisees.

“We hope to continue the momentum throughout 2018 as we grow our business, providing opportunities for many more entrepreneurial individuals who are keen to start their own businesses and join one of the UK’s fastest growing travel companies.”
