Advantage Travel Centres has launched a consumer magazine, Escape, to help drive footfall to leisure members’ agencies.
Starting this week, the magazine will be door dropped to 1,000 ABC1s situated near each participating member. A total of 360,000 copies of the 52-page, A5, full-colour magazine will be distributed three times a year in March, June and October.
Editorial content will focus on destinations such as Costa Rica, Iceland and Mumbai and it will also include travel news; festivals and events as well as holiday ideas for consumer sun, city breaks, families and cruises. The issue will also carry a competition and advertising from Advantage-preferred suppliers.
The title is produced and distributed at no cost to members in conjunction with Absolute Publishing, which also publishes ABTA magazine.
Advantage sales and marketing director Colin O’Neill said: “We made a conscious decision at the start of the year to devote more of our marketing resources to helping increase new business footfall into our members’ outlets. The magazine is one example of this strategy in action.”
