Travel Network Group to hold ‘afternoon tea’ recruitment event

The Travel Network Group is to run a third event in a bid to recruit new members.

The afternoon tea will be held in Birmingham on May 22.

The consortium plans to drive attendance with advertising across the Birmingham area and a 14-day social media campaign.

Previous open days have been held at the group’s headquarters in Woking and in London with more being planned for the remainder of 2018.

The ‘journey to success’ session in Birmingham will include presentations on the group’s core brands and propositions, and give those attending an opportunity to network with the team afterwards.

Group marketing services director Lisa Henning said: “We made a commitment at our last conference to continue to strengthen our membership base and this will be our third recruitment event in the last six months.

“We are already seeing the benefit of inviting existing travel owners and travel entrepreneurs to talk to us through these meetings and as a result have already welcomed 13 new members to our group, with more in the pipeline.”

She added: “We have invested a sizeable advertising budget behind these events in terms of the pre-marketing and particularly this next one in Birmingham.”
